If you would like to be a caring colonel, there are Winter Wishes from fellow students on trees at the unit desks. If you pick one and buy it, you can bring it back to school so Student Council can wrap it and pass it out!
Congratulations to the HCHS Academic Team for their second place finish at the JCPS Tournament in Louisville on Dec. 3. Shout out to Brent Raleigh for being the top academic competitor for the day.
Congratulations, Bowling Colonels for beating Owensboro Catholic last night 7-0. JV chipped in with a 3-2 win in their match. Austin Lander & Zane Wilson paced the Varsity team with games of 229 & 227. Grant Edwards rolled a personal best 156.
This Saturday is Candyland Christmas Formal. Tickets on sale at lunch at the Marketplace and bookstore between classes $20 - sales end Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 2:30. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Any senior who received an invitation to join NTHS, the deadline for this 2nd round of dues is 12/15. NTHS is collecting Dollar Tree fun items/candy for residents at Colonial Senior Living. Deadline is Friday, 12/9.
Some of our HCHS Seniors were able to tour Western Kentucky University with HCHS School Counselors. They had a great time and learned a lot about WKU.

Seniors that are interested in a campus tour of Western Kentucky University should pick up a permission slip at the green unit desk. The WKU tour will be on Thursday, Dec. 1st. Permission slips are due back Nov. 29th.

McKenna Russin won the 10th grade level of Division 2 in River Valley’s 2nd Annual Art Contest. The theme was “Be Kind to Your Mind” which was to express the importance of Mental Health. This contest consisted of 7 counties and had 245 entries! Congratulations McKenna!
